Today, February 3, spot prices in the Turkish domestic rebar market have dropped by TRY 50-100/mt ($7-13/mt) amid sluggish demand. As of today, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are at TRY 4,780-4,830/mt or $564-570/mt ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Most mills in the Marmara region are currently offering rebar at TRY 4,955-5,140/mt ($585-607/mt) ex-works.
Most traders are quoting aggressive prices to generate sales. However, most buyers are in wait-and-see mode to gain a better understanding of the import scrap price trend.
