Turkish mill Kardemir raises rebar prices in newly announced sales

Turkish integrated steel mill Kardemir has revised its domestic rebar sales prices on November 12, increasing them after selling decent volumes in its previous round of sales.

The producer’s price has increased by TRY 45/mt ($13/mt) to TRY 2,495/mt ($432/mt) ex-works excluding 18 percent VAT. The offer is valid for 500 mt and above orders, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral. Additionally, a discount of TRY 30/mt + 18 percent VAT is offered on the announced price for cash purchases of 500 mt or more of rebar.

In the previous round of sales, Kardemir sold 31,000 mt of rebar at TRY 2,450/mt ex-works, or at around $424-427/mt ex-works depending on the exchange rate at the moment of purchase.
