Turkish mill Kardemir opens wire rod sales with price increase

Turkish integrated steel mill Kardemir has opened its new domestic wire rod sales on December 11. Accordingly, the producer’s price for 5.5 mm 1008-1010 grade wire rod has increased by TRY 72 (up $10/mt) to TRY 2,820/mt ($486/mt) ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT, as compared to its previous list dated December 3. The offers are valid for 500 mt and above orders, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral. Additionally, the producer applies a TRY 30/mt + 18 percent VAT discount on the announced wire rod price for cash payment purchases of 500 mt and higher.
