Turkish merchant bar prices fall slightly

During the past two weeks, international demand for Turkish merchant bar has not improved and is still weak. On the other hand, having previously been unwilling to reduce their merchant bar export prices due to their production costs which have been at high levels for some time now, Turkish merchant bar exporters have been forced to lower their offers at the expense of their profit margins. Market sources do not expect international buyers to recommence their purchases of Turkish merchant bar in the short term, while they believe demand will continue to remain weak.
