Export prices for merchant bars from Turkey have increased by $10/mt on the higher end over the past two weeks, taking into account the cautious uptrend in the scrap segment. As a result, ex-Turkey equal angle offers have settled at $680-700 FOB. Most Turkish merchant bar re-rollers are mainly offering for late June-early July shipment.

According to sources, merchant bar inquiries are being received from Latin America, Africa and the UAE.
