In the past week, Turkish merchant bar prices have fallen by $10/mt to $720-740/mt FOB for October shipment amid the negative sentiment in the import scrap and billet segments as well as sluggish international demand.

Most international buyers are maintaining a wait-and-see stance while observing the import scrap and billet price trends. A few merchant bar producers are attempting to keep their prices stable due to their higher production costs.

Turkish merchant bar export prices are currently at the following levels:

Product

Price ($/mt)

Angle

720-740

IPN-UPN

730-750

Flat bar

750-770

IPE

All prices are on FOB basis and October shipment.
