Turkish merchant bar export prices move down

Turkey’s merchant bar export prices have moved down over the past two weeks. Turkish merchant bar producers’ export offers have decreased by $20/mt as compared to SteelOrbis’ report published on February 14 and are currently at $560-570/mt FOB.

While demand for Turkish merchant bar in the international markets is observed to be weak, market players expect Turkish merchant bar export offers to fall further as production costs in Turkey have decreased.
