Ex-Turkey merchant bar export prices have risen by $10/mt to $820-830/mt FOB for April-May shipment in the past two weeks, amid currency fluctuations, the uncertain financial situation in Turkey, and Russia’s attack on Ukraine and its possible consequences.

A few merchant bar re-rollers have stopped quoting for now, while a few merchant bar re-rollers are offering material for extended shipment terms. Demand is moderate.

Turkish merchant bar export prices are currently at the following levels:

Price ($/mt)

Angle

820-830

IPN-UPN

830-840

Flat bar

850-860

IPE

All prices are on FOB basis and for April-May shipment.
