Turkish merchant bar export prices decrease by $10/mt

Over the past two weeks, ex-Turkey merchant bar export prices for equal angles have moved down by $10/mt to $690-700/mt FOB amid the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment. Moreover, the trend was supported by logistical constraints. North African buyers are delaying new purchases as they seek to have a better understanding of the import scrap segment in Turkey. West Africa and Latin America are the ongoing key export destinations, while a few price inquiries have been reported from Malaysia.Turkish merchant bar re-rollers are mainly offering for May shipments, while a few re-rollers are in the market to sell with extended delivery terms.
