Turkish domestic wire rod prices have remained stable both in the Thrace and Izmir region after the long holiday period, while the wire rod prices in Marmara and Iskenderun regions have decreased by average $2.5-5/mt compared to July 16.

According to sources, one mill in the Iskenderun region has kept its wire rod price stable amid slow trading activity in the market, while another mill in this region has started offering $830/mt this week due to their maintenance period which will begin by the beginning of the August and the producer will resume working by early September. As a result, the wire rod price gap has widened. In addition, the official wire rod prices in Thrace is relatively higher than the other regions due their nearly full export bookings.

Most mills are offering material for September deliveries, while a few mills has recently started offering for October deliveries.
