This week, Turkish wire rod producers have maintained their prices for domestic market at $520-550/mt ex-works since scrap prices have not settled yet due to the Easter holiday on Monday and Democracy and National Solidarity Day on Tuesday. According to market sources, demand for mesh quality wire rod is slack due to the negative situation in construction sector. Meanwhile, it is stated that both buyers and sellers are cautious about concluding new deals due to the strengthening of the US dollar against Turkish lira. Also demand for wire rod is livelier than rebar demand in Turkish domestic market.
