Turkish domestic wire rod prices move down

SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that local producers’ price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes. 

Demand in the local Turkish wire rod market is still at low levels. As a result, Turkish wire rod producers have reduced their prices by $10/mt on the lower end week on week to $515-550/mt ex-works.

Meanwhile, market sources state that the trend of domestic wire rod prices in Turkey may change in the coming days due to the recent upward tendency of scrap quotations.
