Turkish suppliers have mainly decreased their local wire rod prices slightly amid the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar and sluggish demand.

One Iskenderun-based mill had increased its wire rod price by $10/mt to $810/mt ex-works at the end of last week and has kept its price stable since then. Sources report additional discounts are on the table for the serious buyers, aimed at generating sales.

Most suppliers are mostly offering for January-early February delivery, while a limited tonnage is available for late December delivery.
