Official wire rod prices in Turkey have mostly remained unchanged this week and additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers. In addition, wire rod prices in the Marmara region have decreased by $10/mt week on week. Most Turkish mills are trying to maintain their wire rod prices unchanged and are not in a rush to adjust their wire rod prices amid the current slow trading activity and against the backdrop of longer lead times. A few suppliers have started to quote for November delivery as they are mostly fully booked for October delivery.

One Iskenderun-region has stopped quoting wire rod prices to avoid currency fluctuations. Sources report that another Iskenderun mill has succeeded in selling some tonnages at $740/mt ex-works yesterday. It is about to complete its October delivery bookings and increased its wire rod price to $750/mt ex-works yesterday afternoon and kept this wire rod price stable today.
