Domestic wire rod prices in Turkey have decreased in most regions of the country in the past week, following the downturn in the export segment and also as demand locally has been limited. Only in the Izmir region have mills’ offers moved sideways for now. Market sources indicate that some wire rod sales of small tonnages have been concluded in the Marmara region, without any details disclosed. Most Turkish steel mills are currently offering wire rod mainly for February delivery, SteelOrbis understands.
