Local Turkish wire rod prices have mostly fallen by $10/mt, while the wire rod price in the Marmara region has remained stable for now, against the backdrop of currency fluctuations and the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment. Turkish mills are trying to limit their price reductions amid their extended delivery terms. A few mills are implementing aggressive pricing policies for their ex-stock material, while availability of new production for late September delivery is limited and most mills are offering their material mainly for October delivery.
