Turkish domestic wire rod prices mainly stable

Local Turkish wire rod list prices have mainly remained unchanged week on week, down by just $10/mt on the lower end and down by an average of $5/mt in the Iskenderun region, amid currency fluctuations and slow trading activity.  Wire rod prices in the rest of the country have remained unchanged over the same period. According to sources, special discounts are applicable for serious buyers. Most Turkish mills are offering for June-July production, while limited tonnages for some sizes are available from stocks. Most buyers are cautious as regards concluding new purchases due to the new lockdown which will last until the end-of-Ramadan holiday is over.

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude 18 percent VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.
