Today, March 10, Turkish wire rod producers have mainly decreased their domestic list prices by an average of $5-17.5/mt in most regions of the country depending on the mill. The key reason is the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment and the currency fluctuations. However, the mill in the region of Thrace has increased its offers by $5/mt taking into account that allocation is limited due to ongoing export shipments. In the local market, Turkish mills are mostly offering for May deliveries. Sources report that special discounts are available for serious buyers.
