Today, September 30, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 50-200/mt ($3-10/mt) amid rapid currency fluctuations and Icdas’s recent rebar price hike. The rebar spot prices in the Iskenderun region are higher than those in the rest of the country against the backdrop of limited supply and size availability, SteelOrbis has heard. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 15,000-15,600/mt or $685-713/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has hiked its rebar price by $15/mt to $715/mt ex-works and closed its rebar sales in the afternoon. Most Marmara-based mills also started offering rebar at $705-710/mt ex-works earlier today.
In the Iskenderun region, Bastug Metallurgy opened its rebar sales at TRY 15,750/mt ex-works, equal to $720/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate. The producer closed its rebar sales later today.
