Today, October 12, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have risen by TRY 170-200/mt ($12-15/mt), against the backdrop of currency fluctuations and producers’ higher rebar prices. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 7,600-7,650/mt or $714-719/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has kept its rebar price at $700/mt ex-works today, while the other mills in the Marmara region has started testing $720/mt ex-works on the same day.
In the Izmir region, the general rebar price level is currently standing at $710/mt ex-works, while sources report that a sale of around 15,000 mt of rebar was concluded at $700/mt ex-works earlier today.
In the Iskenderun region, most re-rollers have closed their rebar sales to avoid currency fluctuation risks for now.
