Today, February 24, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have risen by TRY 500-600/mt ($5-12/mt) amid the sharp depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar and the unclear financial situation in the country. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 12,400-12,500/mt or $735-741/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
The general rebar price range of Turkish producers including Icdas A.S. stands at $740-750/mt ex-works. Trading activity is also very slow.
In the Iskenderun region, Bastug Metallurgy has closed its rebar sales after opening them earlier today at TRY 12,800/mt ($761/mt) ex-works for a couple of hours.
