Today, June 22, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 100-130/mt, while declining by $3-6/mt on US dollar basis, amid currency fluctuations and sluggish demand. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,240-7,320/mt or $705-713/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has kept its rebar price at $730/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate, down by TRY 70/mt today. The general rebar price range in Turkey has widened today to $700-735/mt ex-works, depending on the producer. The lowest end refers to one single mill in the Izmir region, while the highest price is from a mill in the Marmara region. A few mills are offering special discounts to generate rebar sales.
According to sources, a small tonnage rebar has been traded at $700/mt ex-works in the Izmir region today.
