Today, September 16, in the local currency Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have remained unchanged in the local currency, with just minor changes on US dollar basis, amid currency fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have remained at TRY 6,600-6,750/mt or $657-672/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most Marmara and Izmir-based mills have kept their rebar prices stable at $660-680/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S. According to sources, size availability is also an issue these days.
In the Iskenderun region, one re-roller opened its rebar sales at TRY 6,700 ($667/mt) ex-warehouse earlier today, and closed its rebar sales in the afternoon to avoid risks of currency fluctuations.
