Today, on June 14, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have remained unchanged in local currency, while rising by $2-3/mt, compared to the end of last week, amid currency fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,150-7,250/mt or $724-734/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has increased its rebar price by $10/mt to $730/mt ex-works today. In addition, most mills in this region have settled their rebar price at $740-755/mt ex-works. One Marmara-based mill is expected to start its maintenance works on Monday, June 21, continuing them for two weeks until July 5.
In the Izmir region, most mills are still offering rebar at $730/mt ex-works today.
Most Turkish local traders are waiting to hear about the Turkish Central Bank’s interest rate announcement due on Thursday, June 17.
