Today, March 4, spot prices in the Turkish domestic rebar market have increased by TRY 50-90/mt amid stronger scrap prices and rapid currency fluctuations from the beginning of this week, but have dropped by $9-14 in prices on US dollar basis. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 5,620-5,650/mt or $639-643/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has increased its rebar price in the local currency by TRY 100/mt to TRY 5,630/mt ($640/mt) today. Most Marmara-based mills are currently offering rebar at TRY 5,715-5,760/mt ($650-655/mt) ex-works.
Most mills in the Izmir region are offering rebar at TRY 5,625-5,670/mt ($640-645/mt) ex-works.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt A.S. has opened its rebar sales today at TRY 5,750/mt ($654/mt) ex-works, while in the Karabuk region Yolbulan A.S. has opened its rebar sales at TRY 5,700/mt ($648/mt) ex-works.
