Today, September 8, in the local currency Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 80-150/mt, while prices on US dollar basis are down by $3-8/mt only rising by $3/mt in the Marmara region, since the beginning of this week. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 6,550-6,670/mt or $656-668/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions are currently offering rebar at $655-680/mt ex-works. Some local traders have closed their rebar sales to avoid currency fluctuations as they restock some tonnages today.
