Today, November 30, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have risen by another TRY 300-400/mt, with minor changes on US dollar basis, amid the rapid depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 11,200-11,430/mt or $727-742/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region. Most local rebar buyers have slowed down their rebar transactions amid the currency fluctuations in the country. The average exchange rate was at $1 = TRY 12.62 yesterday.
Icdas has kept its official rebar price at $750/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate today. In addition, most Marmara and Izmir-based suppliers are offering rebar at $740-750/mt while special discounts on US dollar basis are applicable for serious buyers.
In the Iskenderun region, one re-roller opened its rebar sales at TRY 11,350/mt ($736/mt) ex-warehouse ealier today, up by TRY 400/mt ($1/mt).
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. opened its rebar sales at TRY 11,300/mt ($733/mt) ex-works today.
