Today, March 5, spot prices in the Turkish domestic rebar market have increased by TRY 10-50/mt amid stronger scrap prices and rapid currency fluctuations during the day, with minor changes on US dollar basis. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 5,630-5,700/mt or $636-644/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has increased its rebar price in the local currency by TRY 60/mt to TRY 5,690/mt ($643/mt) today. The producer’s rebar price is up by $3/mt on US dollar basis compared to earlier this morning. One Marmara-based mill is currently offering rebar at TRY 5,800/mt ($655/mt) ex-works.
One mill in the Izmir region is offering rebar at TRY 5,710/mt ($645/mt) ex-works.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt A.S. has kept its rebar sales today at TRY 5,750/mt ($650/mt) ex-works, down by $4/mt on US dollar basis, while in the Karabuk region Yolbulan A.S. has closed its rebar sales today.
