Today, March 9, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 300-600/mt ($6-24/mt) against the backdrop of currency fluctuations and following Turkish mills’ rapid rebar price hikes. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 16,000-16,250/mt or $924-938/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has increased its rebar price by another $20/mt to $940/mt ex-works today. One mill in the Marmara region has set its rebar price at $950/mt ex-works. One Izmir-based mill announced its rebar price earlier today at $920/mt ex-works and then increased its price by $20/mt to $940/mt ex-works in the afternoon. According to sources, small tonnages of rebar were traded at $900/mt ex-works in the Izmir region, but the final tonnage has not been confirmed by the time of publication.
In the Iskenderun region, one-re-roller opened its rebar sales at TRY 16,500/mt ($953/mt) ex-warehouse earlier today.
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. opened its rebar sales at TRY 16,300/mt ($941/mt) ex-works today.
