Today, March 1, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 300-550/mt ($12-28/mt) against the backdrop of currency fluctuations and the positive sentiment in the billet sector. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 12,750-13,000/mt or $776-791/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has raised its rebar price by $10/mt to $770/mt ex-works, while one Marmara-based mill has opened its rebar sales at $785 for a limited size range, while another mill in the region was offering at $790/mt earlier today. The producer increased its rebar price by $10/mt to $800/mt ex-works in the afternoon. In the Izmir region, limited supply is still an issue. One Izmir-based mill has closed its rebar sales after opening them at $770/mt ex-works earlier today.
In the Iskenderun region, one re-roller has opened its rebar price at TRY 13,150/mt ($801/mt) ex-warehouse today.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt Metallurgy has opened its rebar sales at TRY 13,000/mt ($791/mt) ex-works today.
