Today, July 27, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have decreased by TRY 200-300/mt ($12-17/mt), following Icdas’s today’s rebar price decrease and the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 12,900-13,300/mt or $609-628/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has cut its official rebar price by $20/mt to $640/mt ex-works today. Also, a few mills in the Marmara region are offering rebar at the same level. Sources report a few mills are still applying aggressive pricing to generate sales, even offering $600-625/mt ex-works in the Marmara and Izmir region.
