Today, August 11, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mostly remained stable in the local currency with minor changes on US dollar basis, while falling by TRY 100/mt ($4-5/mt) in the Iskenderun region in order to offset currency fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have remained unchanged at TRY 13,600-14,000/mt or $642-661/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions are offering official rebar prices at $660-670/mt ex-works, while additional discounts are available for serious buyers.
Most local traders are monitoring the rebar export segment and the import scrap price trend before restocking.
