Today, September 12, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mostly decreased by TRY 100-150/mt ($4-7/mt), following Icdas’s price decrease today, while rebar spot prices have only remained stable in the Marmara region. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 14,400-14,650/mt or $669-681/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas cut its rebar price by $20/mt to $690/mt ex-works today. Most Marmara and Izmir-based mills are offering rebar at $680-690/mt ex-works today.
Most local traders are pessimistic regarding the domestic rebar market when the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment is taken into account.
