Today, August 18, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mainly fallen by TRY 30-50/mt ($9-11/mt), while only in the Marmara region have rebar spot prices remained unchanged in liras while down by $6/mt on US dollar basis. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 6,700-6,800/mt or $669-679/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
In the Marmara region, most producers are offering rebar at $675-680/mt ex-works today.
One Izmir-based mill is currently offering rebar at $665/mt ex-works today.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt Metallurgy opened its rebar sales at TRY 6,850/mt ($684/mt) ex-works today, down by TRY 50/mt($11/mt) today, and then closed its rebar sales until the afternoon of Monday, August 23.
