Today, August 23, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices only in the Izmir region have fallen by TRY 40/mt compared to Thursday, August 19, while the rebar spot prices have remained stable in the rest of the country in the local currency with minor changes on US dollar basis. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have opened at TRY 6,680-6,750/mt or $669-676/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has opened its rebar sales at TRY 6,800/mt ($680/mt) ex-works today. In addition, one Marmara-based mill is currently offering rebar at $685-690/mt ex-works today.
In the Izmir region most mills are offering rebar at $670-680/mt ex-works and some local traders in the region have decreased their rebar prices in the local currency slightly, following the $5/mt decrease on the mills’ lower end today.
