Today, May 31, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have only increased by TRY 10/mt in the Marmara region, compared to Thursday, May 27, with minor changes on US dollar basis amid the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment and on the demand side. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,050-7,130/mt or $704-712/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has decreased its rebar price by $10/mt to $740/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate, while most mills in the Izmir and Marmara regions have started offering at $730-735/mt ex-works.
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. has not opened its rebar sales today.
