Today, April 26, Turkish domestic rebar prices have increased by TRY 30-70/mt ($2-7/mt) since the end of the past week amid currency fluctuations and the relatively positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 6,070-6,140/mt or $620-627/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most Marmara and Izmir-based mills are currently offering rebar list prices at $630-635/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate. According to sources, special discounts are applicable for serious buyers.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt A.S. has opened its rebar sales at TRY 6,250/mt ($638/mt) ex-works today. In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. has opened its rebar sales at TRY 6,200/mt ($633/mt) ex-works on the same day.
