Today, November 17, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have risen by another TRY 200-250/mt over the day, with minor changes in US dollar basis amid the currency fluctuations as the exchange rate recently hit $1 = TRY 10.48. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 9,050-9,200/mt or $732-744/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
The general official rebar price is available at $750/mt ex-works, including Icdas A.S. today. Most local traders are refraining from new purchases to monitor the exchange rate trend after Turkish Central Bank’s interest rate decision due tomorrow.
