Today, October 14, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have risen by TRY 200-350/mt ($11-25/mt), against the backdrop of rapid currency fluctuations and producers’ higher rebar prices. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 7,950-8,100/mt or $734-748/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has increased its rebar price by another $5/mt to $720/mt ex-works today, while the other mills in the Marmara region have started quoting official rebar prices at $735-750/mt ex-works on the same day. Sources report that 1,000 mt of rebar has been traded at $740/mt ex-works for November delivery lately.
In the Izmir region, sources report that a small-tonnage rebar lot was traded at $715/mt ex-works earlier today.
In the Iskenderun region, one re-roller is offering rebar at TRY 8,100/mt ($748/mt) ex-warehouse today.
