Today, April 5, rebar spot prices in Turkey have risen by TRY 30-80/mt ($3-9/mt) since the end of last week amid currency fluctuations, and some local traders believe that local rebar prices may gain momentum in the short term supported by the positive sentiment in the local scrap market. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 5,800-5,900/mt or $605-616/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has kept its rebar price at $620/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate. Moreover, most mills in the Marmara are currently offering rebar list price at $630/mt ex-works.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt A.S. has opened its rebar sales at TRY 6,050/mt ($631/mt) ex-works, up by TRY 80/mt ($8/mt) compared to the end of last week.
