Today, June 23, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have decreased by another TRY 40-100/mt, with minor changes on US dollar basis, amid currency fluctuations and silent demand. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,170-7,220/mt or $703-708/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Although the official general rebar price range have settled at $720-735/mt ex-works in Izmir and Marmara region today. A few mills are offering special discounts for serious buyers. According to sources, small tonnage rebar were traded at $695-700/mt ex-works in the Izmir region yesterday, while $700-705/mt ex-works were also rumored in the Marmara region yesterday. The general sentiment in the local rebar market is negative due to the silence in the import scrap segment.
