Today, January 14, spot prices in the local Turkish rebar market have decreased by TRY 40-50/mt, with minor changes on US dollar basis compared to the beginning of this week, amid currency fluctuations and sluggish demand. As of today, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 5,620-5,680/mt or $645-652/mt ex-warehouse depending on the region. Sources report that special discounts are available for serious buyers.
Icdas has kept its rebar price unchanged on lira basis at TRY 5,670/mt ($651/mt) ex-works, up by $6/mt over the same period. One Marmara-based mill is currently offering rebar at $5,790 ($665/mt) ex-works.
In the Izmir region, Izmir Demir Celik’s (IDC) rebar price is available at TRY 5,750/mt ($660/mt) ex-works.
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. has opened its rebar sales at TRY 5,700/mt ($655/mt) ex-works.
