Today, January 28, spot prices in the Turkish domestic rebar market have been cut by TRY 40-80/mt ($4-9/mt) due to sluggish demand. As of today, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are at TRY 5,140-5,220/mt or $589-599/mt ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Most mills in the Marmara region are mainly offering rebar at TRY 5,390-5,405 /mt (618-620/mt) ex-works.
Some traders are trying to destock material to generate cash flow as the month ends, SteelOrbis has heard.
