Today, August 25, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 10-70/mt over the day, only stable in the Karabuk region on US dollar basis, while down by $3-6/mt in the rest of the country over the day. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 6,580-6,680/mt or $664-674/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has kept its rebar price at $680/mt ex-works, equals to TRY 6,740/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate. Most mills in the Marmara and Izmir region are offering their official rebar prices at $670-680/mt ex-works. According to sources, some tonnage were traded at $665/mt ex-works in the Izmir region and even $660/mt ex-works in the same region is on the table today. Moreover, the tradable level in the Iskenderun region is at $665/mt ex-works, SteelOrbis has heard.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt Metallurgy has closed its rebar sales until Monday, September 20. “The producer mainly focuses on its billet export bookings and mostly booked for September. As a result, they have closed their rebar sales until late September” one source mentioned.
