Today, April 28, Turkish domestic rebar prices have decreased by another TRY 20-50/mt ($1-5/mt) amid currency fluctuations and the negative sentiment on the demand side related to the lockdown until after Ramadan. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 6,000-6,100/mt or $620-630/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Most mills in the Izmir and Marmara regions are currently offering rebar at $630/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate, without any discount available. One Marmara-based mill has achieved to sell around 20,000 mt of rebar at TRY 6,050/mt ($625/mt) ex-works, as today.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt A.S. has opened its rebar price at $640-645/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate.
