Today, September 13, in the local currency Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have only decreased by TRY 30/mt compared to Thursday, September 9, with just minor changes on US dollar basis. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 6,580-6,700/mt or $660-672/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
In the Marmara region, most mills are currently offering official rebar prices at $670-680/mt ex-works, while special discounts are applicable for serious buyers. The general sentiment in the market is negative due to the silence in the import scrap segment.
Most Izmir-based mills’ official rebar prices are standing at $660-670/mt ex-works, while additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers.
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. has opened its 12 mm rebar sales at TRY 6,700/mt ($672/mt) ex-works today.
