Prices in the local Turkish rebar market have continued their downtrend due to the weakness of demand ahead of the end-of-Ramadan holiday, economic instability and lower import scrap quotations.
Additionally, today, Turkish mill Izmir Demir Celik has decreased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 42/mt to TRY 2,864/mt ($488/mt) ex-works, while Icdas has reduced its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 45/mt to TRY 2,910/mt ($488/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.
