Today, July 9, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased both in the Izmir and Marmara regions by TR 10-20/mt ($1-2/mt) compared to the beginning of the week. The general range in Turkey is at TRY 3,370-3,410/mt ($416-421/mt) ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Icdas has kept its rebar price at TRY 3,400/mt ($420/mt) ex-works since the beginning of this week. Most mills in the Marmara region are currently offering rebar at TRY 3,400-3,440/mt ($420-425/mt) ex-works, up by TRY 10/mt on the high end with just minor changes on US dollar basis.
Izmir Demir Celik (IDC) has kept its rebar prices at TRY 3,400/mt ($420/mt) ex-works over the same period. Sources report that a total of around 32,000 mt of rebar has been traded in the Izmir region at TRY 3,370-3,400/mt ($416-420/mt) ex-works as of today.
In the Iskenderun region, most mills have closed their rebar sales until Monday, July 13.
In the Karabuk region, Kardemir has closed its rebar sales today, after selling approximately 30,000 mt at TRY 2,870 ($418/mt) ex-works.
