The price trend in the domestic merchant bar market in Turkey lacks a single direction as mills prefer to act each according to its market position and earlier announced offers. In particular, suppliers in the Izmir and Denizli regions have decided to decrease prices in the local currency, compensating for the high levels announced earlier and aiming to come closer to the market reality. Re-rollers in Karabuk region, on the contrary, have increased their prices, trying to compensate for the drastic fall in the value of the Turkish lira. Most buyers are currently on hold as business conditions have worsened as compared to last week.
