Turkey’s Kardemir raises its wire rod prices

Today, February 28, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has moved up its dollar-based wire rod prices by $25/mt compared to its previous announcement on Tuesday, February 15, amid the positive sentiment in the billet contributed by the currency fluctuations. Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod is currently at $855/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $830/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $855/mt ex-works.

Wire rod prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
